How we look after your details.
Plain English. We hold the minimum needed to run the newsletter, nothing more.
What we collect
Your email address. That is the only personal data we hold. We do not collect names, postal addresses, or any other identifying information. If you reply to an edition or write to the editor, the contents of your email are also held until the conversation ends.
Why we collect it
To deliver the newsletter you have subscribed to. That is the only purpose.
How long we hold it
For as long as you remain a subscriber, plus thirty days after you cancel. After that the address is permanently removed from our records. Replies and conversations are kept for as long as the conversation is active, and removed within ninety days of the last message.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We do not sell, share, or pass your details to any third party. We use a single email-delivery service (SendGrid via our EP Newsletter SendGrid plugin) to send the editions. SendGrid sees your address only at the moment of delivery and does not retain it for any purpose other than the immediate send.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold on you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it, at any time. We respond within thirty days as the law requires, and usually within five working days as a matter of practice.
Who is responsible
Last Week on Office Hours is operated by ElmsPark Consultants Limited, registered in Ireland (CRO 387xxxx). The data controller for newsletter subscriptions is the editor, Alasdair Reeve.
